Spanning a career of over two decades, Andrea has been engaged and deployed on the field in major humanitarian relief operations including but limited to the COVID-19 response (in Africa & Italy, 2020-1); the IDP crisis in Cabo Delgado (2021), Cyclone Idai in Mozambique (2019); the drought emergency in Angola (2019); the Ebola outbreak (2014); the Cholera epidemic in Angola (2006); the hemorrhagic fever of Marburg in Angola (2005), refugee assistance from DRC to Angola (1999); assistance to earthquake displaced people of Colfiorito (1998), and the Ukraine war.

Andrea is an extraordinary man who’s been on a lifelong mission to help others.

In 1950, the missionary doctor Francesco Canova founded the University College for Aspiring Missionary Doctors, known by its Italian acronym CUAMM. Today, Doctors with Africa CUAMM has nearly 75 years of experience working in many African countries to fulfill the organization’s central ambition, to care for the sick.

CUAMM’s most important role is on the ground, being on the front line providing medical supplies, and ensuring availability and access to quality primary healthcare through both mobile teams and fixed health facilities. a pioneering charity focusing on developing and enhancing healthcare across Africa, by creating prevention programs, and support for regional health services. Andrea wants to raise the profile of Doctors with Africa CUAMM UK, with the aim to build a new network of stakeholders amongst the country’s private sector, individuals, and institutions, to help on key African issues.
